April 2018 was an important month in the development of Bargate Murray and the first three months of the new luxury residential department has gone really well.

With a new department much of my time was spent making applications joining certain panels, obtaining certain software, memberships and drafting documentation.  However, the most important part of the infancy of a new department is business development and sending the message that we are now in this space, to the “leading lights” in the industry.  Although I had a lot of existing contacts, there were so many additional significant people out there, that I made it my mission to meet them all in this initial period.

This has been vital to enhance the Bargate Murray brand but has also meant that I now have a lot of contacts in the market which leads to me knowing about the best “off market” properties as and when they become available. What makes my job so interesting and different is that if you are looking for a certain property in the most prestigious post codes in London and the Home Counties I can help you get in touch with the correct agent whether it be a seller or buyer agent to locate such a property. The range of properties that I have been shown is anything from a few million to over £100 million and includes both existing properties and new development properties in some of the most desirable areas in Central London.


When joining Bargate Murray I wanted to build something new and exciting with my department, I wanted to continue the high level of service that the existing partners were offering their clients but I wanted to add more. With this in mind, I set about forming links  with a number of other companies that would enable me to offer a full property service to my clients. Clients can benefit from companies I recommend to provide mortgages and chartered surveyors at the beginning of the transaction to interior design, refit/refurbishment and property concierge companies at the end.

It was imperative that these companies offered the same high standard of service that Bargate Murray do and I  was careful in being very selective of companies that have been recommended to me or are well known in their space as industrial leaders.

However, the most important thing is that I am a transactional residential property solicitor with over 20 years experience first and foremost and it is all about the bespoke service that I provide to each client whether it be in a purchase, sale or refinance.

Even after all these years I still really enjoy acting for my clients in their pursuit of the perfect “home”.
